My Puppey Dog

wow, no one has posted in this topic for a while so i'd thought i'd share here as well as i did at wuM...
.
my puppy dog (here in this household that i fell in love with since i've been here for a little over a year...) was a little black and white chu-aw-wa (sp?) and he was 11 years old and full of life... chased squirrels in the back yard and even the kitty that came into the back fence that i've been petting...
was hit by a car Sat. Night :( ...
he's never darted out the front door but did... he ran around the neighborhood for a short time and was ready to come back home, he was right across the street, then an SUV came driving by and he decided to chase it as dogs love to do and was hit :( ... me and the owner of the dog are grieving, still can't believe he's not barking at the front door or there in his little bed, or even in the kitchen at dinner time wondering where his dinner is... also looking up wagging his little black tail with the white tip wondering if he's going to get a secret snack that no one was suppose to give him but everyone did  :D
.
i know we all lose pets in a lifetime, maybe 2 or 3 or more, but they are still part of the family and is never easy to except their loss :( ... thanks for listening, again...

I've been lucky Fishy. None of my dogs have been hurt or run over (knock on wood). My first dog (a Terrier mix) lived to be almost 16 and died of old age. My second dog (a Corgi mix) was almost run over twice, once on a camping trip and once in front of our house. But she wasn't hit and she died from cancer when she was about 12. I have two dogs now. One is a Corgi we've had since she was a puppy and she's 11 now. The other is a Shepherd mix that we inherited from my son when he got divorced and she's 12 now. Both are doing well for their age and they are my best friends! :P

Sorry to hear about your dog......
